Field Supervisor (Toolpusher)
Description

This position reports directly to the Divisional Operations Manager.

This position is responsible for the management and supervision of a workover rig crew and coordinating sub contractor personnel on location. This position is responsible for the day to day relationship with the company’s customers. This position implements the company’s policies and standard operating procedures while also advancing the best interest of the company’s customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Receive and implement the job orders from the customer representative.
2. Assist the customer, when requested, in the planning and scheduling other services for the job.
3. Effectively and professionally communicate the job schedule and status to the customer.
4. Be responsible for the Rig Supervisor (Operator) having all of the information needed to perform the job to the customer’s specifications.
5. Ensure that the company fulfills all its responsibilities in meeting, and hopefully exceeding, the customer’s expectations and requirements.
6. Effectively monitor and evaluate assigned Rig Supervisor (Operator) performance.
7. Help support, measure, and monitor all company quality and performance programs.
8. Help in the resolution of disputes or problems between customers and TEC.
9. Look for new business / market opportunities.
10. Aid in the recruitment of crew hands.
11. Review and preparation of Problem Well Reports, Incident Reports, Non-personnel Accident Reports.
12. Manage all assigned equipment maintenance and communicate maintenance requirements and issues to Operations and Equipment Management.
13. Communicate job and scheduling status with Account (Sales) Manager.
14. Communicate any safety or environmental incidents or issues and concerns with HSE/HR Management.
15. Ensure strict adherence to all company Safety and Operating Policies with both company personnel and sub contractor personnel.

Qualifications

1. Five years experience as a Rig Supervisor (Operator)
2. Valid State (Class C) driver’s license with acceptable MVR at minimum.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
4. Excellent reporting skills.
5. High School education preferred.
6. Ability to pass physical, lift assessment, audiogram, respiratory, and drug examinations.

 


Shop Technician
Rockies Division

The Shop Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Brief Description

The Shop Technician is primarily responsible for the general administration and disbursement of the company's rental tool inventory. In addition to this primary responsibility, the Shop Technician may be called on to aid the Shop Mechanics and Truck Drivers in their efforts to support the workover rigs and crews in the field and maintain the equipment when it comes to the yard.

To be successful, a candidate must have mechanical skills and knowledge of air and hydraulic systems, as well as engine repair. More importantly, a candidate must be willing to learn and maintain a positive behavior.

Qualifications

3. Valid State driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred) with acceptable MVR at minimum.
4. Ability to pass physical, lift assessment, audiogram, respiratory, and drug examinations.


 


Floorhand
Description

The Floorhand is part of a 4-5 person workover rig crew who are responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells requested by the customers of TEC Well Services. The primary responsibilities of a Floorhand include but are not limited to assisting in rigging up/down, pulling/laying rods, tubing, and casing, and other functions specified by the Rig Supervisor or other designated individual. All duties are performed in a specified fashion to maximize the safety of the entire crew while meeting customer expectations and being a solution to their problems.

Typical schedule will be M-F 6:00am - 5:00pm. Weekend work and/or work outside of normal working hours will be required at various times.

The Floorhand reports to their assigned Workover Rig Supervisor.

Derrickman
Description

The Derrickman is part of a 4-5 person workover rig crew who are responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells requested by the customers of TEC Well Services. The primary responsibilities of a Derrickman is to work anywhere on the derrick including but not limited to the tubing board and rod basket (in other words he may also need to go up and perform routine maintenance on the derrick structure or components) and other functions specified by the Rig Supervisor or other designated individual. All duties are performed in a specified fashion to maximize the safety of the entire crew while meeting customer expectations and being a solution to their problems.

Typical schedule will be M-F 6:00am - 5:00pm. Weekend work and/or work outside of normal working hours will be required at various times.

The Derrickman reports to their assigned Workover Rig Supervisor (Operator).

Qualifications

3. Valid State driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred) with acceptable MVR.

Relief Rig Supervisor (Relief Operator)
Description

The Relief Rig Supervisor position is filled by a person who on an as needed basis fills the position of a Rig Supervisor on a Workover Rig or Swab Rig. This person substitutes for Rig Supervisors who are absent from work due to illness, vacations, or other excused absences. When not acting as a Rig Supervisor, the Relief Rig Supervisor will have a regular position to report to every day (example: floor hand, derrick hand, truck driver, etc.).

Duties & Responsibilities

1. When acting as a Rig Supervisor, all duties and responsibilities of a Rig Supervisor.
2. This position will normally have a floor hand or derrick hand position to fill on a rig every day, except when needed to substitute as a Rig Supervisor on another rig.

3. Valid State Class B CDL driver’s license with acceptable MVR at minimum.
4. Previous experience as a Rig Supervisor and/or training required.
5. Shall have previous experience as Derrickman and Floorhand positions.
6. Ability to pass physical, lift assessment, audiogram, respiratory, and drug examinations.

 


Rig Supervisor (Operator)
Description

The Rig Supervisor is a leader and often referred to as the Rig Operator, which is part of a 4-5 person workover rig crew, who are responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells requested by the customers of TEC Well Services. The primary responsibilities of a Rig Supervisor includes but is not limited to supervising his assigned personnel and the inspection, maintenance, and operations of his assigned workover rig is followed in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Additional functions shall be specified by his assigned Field Supervisor or other designated individual. All duties are performed in a specified fashion to maximize the safety of the entire crew while meeting customer expectations and being a solution to their problems.

Typical schedule will be M-F 6:00am - 5:00pm. Weekend work and/or work outside of normal working hours will be required at various times.

The Rig Supervisor reports to his assigned Workover Rig Field Supervisor (Toolpusher).
