Rig 2 Returns from National Oilwell
A New Rig is Born From the Old
In June 2006, TEC Rig 2 returned from National Oilwell's Lindsay, Oklahoma facility a completely new rig. This 1982 Franks received a new Series 60 engine, a new 96', 220,000-pound capacity mast, disc assist brakes, and light-weight, non-slip carbon fiber flooring. Rig 2 also received completely new rigging, tongs, tools, and a new National Oilwell JWS 340 mud pump on a skid package built by United Engines in Oklahoma City according to TEC's design.
Rig 2's refurbishment is part of TEC's ongoing commitment to provide the best well service equipment in the Ark-La-Tex. This commitment continues with Rig 9, which is now under recontruction and refurbishment at Crown's facility in Oklahoma City.
